ALERT FM is the only purpose built communications tool to keep communities informed when power, internet, or cell networks fail. Does your enterprise, state, county, or tribe have a backup plan when your community faces disaster?

Update note: Improved Warner compatibility with 3rd party USB adapters.

Since October 2019, the USGS, the State of California, and other partners are testing public alert deliveries, powered by the ShakeAlert® Earthquake Early Warning system, to wireless devices via the ALERT FM system.

ALERT FM consists of three components:

AlertStudio is a FEMA certified, secure, cloud-based portal which enables federal, state, local and authorized emergency officials to create CAP formatted alerts and distribute them to multiple contact paths simultaneously.

Overlapping signals from different FM radio stations ensure an ALERT FM signal can be received when other communication systems are disrupted. Battery-operated ALERT FM receivers automatically tune to the strongest ALERT FM enabled radio station. Failsafe emergency information is delivered within five seconds using the RDS data channel of existing FM radio stations.

A satellite delivery system to distribute CAP-based (IPAWS) emergency audio and text alerts to radio broadcast stations and emergency management operation centers.

ALERT FM provides emergency officials an addressable and direct communication path for communities of any size in the event of a public emergency. Messages can be targeted geographically: zip/postal codes, counties, state(s), or an entire country when seconds matter.

“It is essential that municipalities have a way to inform the public of imminent danger, ALERT FM gave us the outlet and provided us with excellent customer service.” — Cynthia Jamieson, Homeland Security Planner, Montgomery County, Texas

ALERT FM offers the ability to communicate directly with students, faculty, staff, and parents in the event of an emergency. Messages can be targeted to the entire campus, multiple campuses, a specific building, multiple classrooms, or specific education groups such as public safety department or administration. A campus community can receive a single message via multiple contact paths in mere seconds.

“Alert FM is one of three major communication components utilized in our emergency notification system. Their ability to utilize GSSNet provides continuity if cellular and internet connectivity is lost, and meets our objective of providing an “all inclusive” notification system with redundant communication capability.” — Lt. Scott Ellis, Emergency Management / Special Events, University of South Carolina - Division of Law Enforcement and Safety

Your organization can automatically receive emergency alerts originated from public entities as well.

“Bruce Power’s number one priority is Safety First. In line with this value, we are very pleased to help support the Municipality to implement a notification system that provides not only an auditory alert, but also text message to let people know what they are to do.” — Dan McArthur, Senior Strategist, Bruce Power
